| I was in Submarine School Class 144 (that's me holding the sign) in New London, Conneticut from April 29, 1957 until June 19, 1957. When it snowed on May 4, I decided I did not want to be an East Coast sailor. Marked my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices on my dream sheet as Pacific, Pacific, and Pacific. Someone must have gotten the message because I reported to the BREAM, which was homeported in Pearl Harbor. |
